Resume a COME download after using Back

Using Back can leave a web page without cancelling a download. Check the saved-file state before reopening the entry and starting over.

Inspect outside the page

A browser's navigation history and its download manager are separate. Open Downloads to see whether the requested file is still transferring or has finished. An empty screen after Back does not tell you the file's state.

Choose the correct return point

If a completed file is present, continue from that entry. If no transfer exists, return to the known app-entry page and inspect its current options. If a permission or warning dialog was dismissed, read it carefully when it appears again.

Avoid a loop

Do not keep alternating between Back and the same button without checking what changed. Note whether the phone is showing a website, a browser message or Android's installer. Each belongs to a different step and may require a different decision.

A useful next step

Use the download page to identify the next checkpoint, then perform only that step.
